After an incredible day 1 of Heavy Montreal, music fans returned to Parc Jean Drapeau for another wild day of music.

Hometown talent started off day 2 of Heavy Montreal with Mountain Dust and Junkowl.

Atreyu played the Apocalypse stage early in the day and they had the crowd singing along to many of their songs including Falling Down.

It was Skillet's first time playing at Heavy Montreal and we have ask why it took so long to get them on the lineup. With a new album set to drop at the end of this week, their set was as high energy as you can get. Stay tuned for our interview with John Cooper in a few days.

Watching In This Moment perform was like watching a theatrical play. Frontwoman Maria Brink took centre stage and commanded the attention of the crowd. Prior to playing Whore, from high atop a pedestal, Brink spoke about how it was about taking this disgusting, degrading word, and throwing it back on the accuser

With his trademark top hat and jaw dropping guitar shredding skills, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators played the main stage

Anthrax showed why they're part of the big four in metal when they took to the stage. Earlier in the day, the band was inducted into The Heavy Metal Hall of Fame.

Speaking of the big four of metal, Slayer, the day two headliners, played their last show ever in Quebec

While it may be the end for Slayer, many of the talented young bands we saw over the past weekend, are ready to try to fill their legendary shoes, we'll see who's up for the challenge.

We can't wait to see what Heavy Montreal 2020 has in store for us!
